Who we are
The Dog Athletic Club was born from the dogs who shaped my life.
My first real introduction to dog ownership came at twenty-one, when I brought home a beagle puppy named Bentley. He was smart, stubborn, demanding — and the reason I built my entire daily routine around being a better dog owner. One morning, rushing to the gym before work, I put him in his crate and said out loud, “I wish you could come with me.” I didn’t know it then, but that moment planted the seed for what DAC would eventually become.
Years later, everything changed when I rescued a dog named Bubbles — a terrified mountain dog who had never known the world beyond the place she was born. I made her a promise the first night I watched her shake in fear as we checked into our hotel: I would help her never feel that scared again. I committed to learning everything I could, traveling, studying, and working with trainers to give her a new life. Watching her transformation changed me just as much as it changed her.
When Bubbles passed unexpectedly, I created The Dog Athletic Club to honor her.
She was the dog who taught me that movement builds confidence, that structure creates safety, and that trust is built one rep at a time.DAC exists because of her — and because of every dog who deserves a life full of confidence, connection, and purpose.
A message from our founder Alexandria and the pack — “thanks for believing in the vision, showing up, and unleashing your inner athlete.”
